Introduction to Business

By taking this subject, I was able to gain more knowledge on what Business is all about. Through all the different topics that were taught, I was exposed and had a better understanding about Business. One of my favorite topics from this subject is the Business Ethics and Social Responsibility. This topic basically explains the beliefs of right against wrong, where they are being applied and the approach to social responsibility. It is one of my favorite because this topic teaches you that different people have their own ideas on what is wrong and right, therefore we need to understand each other in order to work well together and not be misunderstood.

Another topic that I find most useful for everyday life is the Managing with Financial Information. In this topic, we specifically learn about Accounting. It teaches us how to record all the transactions and summarizing them into a report. This is commonly used in businesses to tell us how well or bad they are performing. Not only is this useful in business, but also in our daily expenses. By keeping track of our transactions, we are able to be aware of money loss that have occurred and also save more money.

Besides that, I was also exposed to presentation skills, group work and exploring what business is all about in this class. Overall, Introduction to Business had been such an amazing experience.

Here are a few photos taken during our business presentation. We were given the task to choose either an environmental or social issue and present it in class. The topic that we had chosen was False Advertising.
